📌 Afraid of Tax Brackets? Don’t Be!
Think earning more means losing more to taxes? Not true. Tax brackets only apply to portions of income—more money still means more in your pocket!
One of the most common misconceptions about taxes in Canada is this:
"If I earn more, I’ll be pushed into a higher tax bracket and end up with less money."
🚫 Wrong! Canada uses a progressive tax system, which means:
👉 Tax brackets only apply to the portion of your income that falls within each range.
👉 You never lose money by earning more—just the extra portion is taxed at a higher rate.
👉 More income = more take-home pay, even after taxes!
🔍 Example:
If the first $55,000 of income is taxed at 20%, and the next portion at 30%:
• The first $55,000 is taxed at 20%
• Only income above $55,000 is taxed at 30%
So don’t hold back your income goals because of tax bracket myths. Keep growing, earning, and optimizing your tax strategy! 💪💼
